Matt grew up in the Ottawa region. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Honours Biochemistry in 2002 from Bishop’s University in Quebec. Thereafter he moved to Vancouver and earned his Masters of Science in Microbiology in 2006 from the University of British Columbia. He then managed an antibody facility at the Biomedical Research Centre in Vancouver before joining the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2007, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2010. He then moved to Kamloops BC in the summer of 2010 and completed his articles with our firm. Matt has appeared at the BC Provincial Court, the BC Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada. He is a member of the Trial Lawyer’s Association of BC and the Canadian Bar Association. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in May 2011.
Matt’s preferred areas of practice are in litigation:
- Personal Injury, with a focus on ICBC (plaintiff) claims for motor vehicle accidents
- Civil Litigation (Estate Litigation, Wills Variation Actions, Contractual Disputes, Business Disputes)

- Family Law
Matt plays soccer and snowboards in his spare time.
