Carolyn Oien graduated with a Bachelor of Criminology in 1981 from Simon Fraser University and Bachelor of Law in 1988 from the University of Windsor. She completed her articles at another firm in Kamloops and was called to the bar in 1990. She joined Cates Ford Epp Oien in 2009 and has been a partner since then.
Carolyn is a member of the Kamloops Family Bar, the Law Society of British Columbia, Canadian Bar Association and the Trial Lawyer’s Association. She is also a founding member of both the Interior Women’s Law Forum (Executive Member) and the Collaborative Practice Group in Kamloops.
Carolyn’s preferred area of practice is family law, a family law mediator and arbitrator. She has over 25 years of experience in every area of family law and has appeared before all levels of B.C. Courts.
In her spare time, Carolyn likes to hike, read, travel and spend time with her family.
